I485 Cross chargeability Issue

I hold an Indian Passport however I was born in UAE. Can I file my I485 under the UAT quota visa number since that is current for my priority date.

Visa chargeability goes by country of birth and not country of citizenship, so you're a straight-forward case.

Hi Guys,

I have been using this forum silently all this while. I see that most of the people who file using cross chargeability are stuck in 485.
Some of you guys have checked that you are stuck in name check but I see there are others like vikram_77 who haven't updated if they are also stuck in name check.

I am getting a gut feeling that something is not right with cross chargeability may be NSC is not processing our applications as it should. Do we need to send any reminder letters explaining CC?
Does anyone have a format of such a letter?
