I485 Case receipt EB1

I have filed by 485 (AOS) 6 weeks back under EB1 category and I am yet to get the receipt for the same. The priority date is 'Current' for EB1 as per the Sep 2006 Visa Bulletin.

Can someone please let me know how long it would take to get a receipt for I485?

Which country are you from?

If it's India, EB1 is not current until August 31st(they may reject your application) and it seems EB1 is current for september as per the latest visa bulletin. But this will take effect only by Sep 1st.

Sometimes, processing centers delay sending the receipts even for 2 months.
 
If your check for I-485 fee (or EAD/AP fee for that matter) has already cleared your bank, look at its back (online) - there'll be a receipt number printed there. If that number starts with SRC - congratulations, your case ended up at TSC. If the number starts with LIN - your case will be adjudicated by NSC. Use it to check your case status at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp before you ever get your receipt.
 
I am from India and my PD is 02/21/2006. I got my I140 approved under EB1 as well. I will wait for couple of more weeks to find out what is happening. My attorney has no luck in getting any response from the USCIS

I got a note from my attorney that the check is still not encashed by USIS but she has the FedEx confirmation number indicating that the package has been receieved by USIS.

Does anyone have any clue on what is happening?

I485 Case Receipt for EB1

I had same problem as yours. But in my case USCIS confirmed that my check were deposited in the bank and checks were returned by due to signature difference. They issued receipts for my case (for all 765, 131, 140 everything).On this USCIS informed attorney that they should submit fresh check and after that i sent new checks and they issued new receipts cancelling previously issued receipts. Kindly ask your attorney to talk to USCIS and do needful.
 
I got a mail from my Attorney that my I485 package has been returned for reasons unknown at this point.

Can someone please tell me the possible reasons why this could have happened?

I truly appreciate all your inputs

When you filed (6 weeks ago) the PD was January 2006 (not current). That could be the reason. Send after Sept 1, 2006

It is truly a consoling one because I have been scratching my brain like anything since this morning and it did not strike me till this moment that it could due to PD

I will wait to hear from Attorney once they get the package in hand.
 
Why did your attorney send it in before the dates became current???? I mean should he not know this basic fact that USCIS will not accept 485s when the dates are not current?
 
Receipts for 140/485/131

Hi All,
My attorney sent my documents (485/140/131) for concurrent filing to NSC on Aug 7th. It is an EB2 case and I am from a non-retrogressed country.
Until today, Aug 23rd, I did not get my receipts and not heard anything from my attorney or INS.
How much should be the normal time in this case to expect receipts?

Hi, My I140/I485/I131 was filed on August 14, got a ND as Aug 30. I did not receive any fingerprints notice yet.
Once USCIS sends the notice, Is there any update online to reflect the same?

I got this magic email from USICS that my 485 has been approved within a week after my FP was done.

485 Filed on 09/01
485 RD 09/08
FP done on 09/21
485 Approved on 09/26 :)

However the approval mails did not indicate that the card has been ordered for me.

Are there any more steps between the 485 Approval and Card ordering

which center processed ur I485? TSC or NSC?
