I485 at VSC phone system did not change to "RFE", but attorney said so...

Please help!
I-485 EB3 RD: 9/9/99 ND: 9/29/99 FP: 8/8/00

My attorney told me the INS sent a letter to request for my updated "employment letter". But I called VSC auto message system, it did NOT say they requested RFE, the message is still saying under reviewing.

Please let me know: if the INS really request an updated employment letter, the phone system should change to RFE or not?

the automated telephonic message does not always change, even though it changes in many cases. I don\'t think you need to get worried just because it did not change....
