U mean your case was assigned to an adjudication officer right? IIOs (Immigration Information Officers) are the idiots who receive calls and blurt out what comes to their mind,basically pea-brains!
According to my lawyer the INS usually takes around 3-4 weeks to approve an application
once it is assigned to an officer.
The same was true for my case also. It took me 3 weeks .....
