My wife and I had to experience an unwanted drama during passport stamping.
First time, the IO checked my details on the computer and told that my case has not been updated to approved. I melted on the spot. But, the IO also told that this was their problem and asked to check back in 2 weeks.
I went back yesterday the 2nd time. The IO was to the point. She took the I485 courtesy copies, passport and photos. We got the FP and signatures taken on the I-89 form, and the passport stamped. This time the IO did not even touch the computer. When asked if we should surrender the I94s, EADs and APs, the IO said, "Keep it as a souvenir". And some kind of souvenir it is.
