Hi all,
We got our I485\'s approved Finally!!!
Here are the details. Ciba you can post the following info on your website under personal experiences.
Category: EB1 OR
I140 approved May 2000
I485 RD/ND : August 18th 2000
Parole received for spouse: Oct 2000
Parole for self: Not received
FP for spouse and self: OCt 31st 2000
I485 approved: 8th Jan 2001
Passport stamped: 23rd Jan 2001 (Portland OR)
Our experiences are a bit different than the ones posted on the site. We went early in the morning around 5.00am and there was no one in the line. It was very cold so we did decide to wait in the car. Only around 6.30 did the line start growing. We then decided to join the que. The INS office does open at 7.30 as stated in the approval and not at 7.00 at Portland. We then got inside and were given a token number. We were the first in line for passport stamping. The officer was very quick and clear about the process. It took about 5 min on the whole. We were out by 7.40 am.
The officer mentioned that the cards will come by mail in 5 mts and requested us to inform them in person about any change of address.
Overall the experience was great.
Thanks to all of you and special thanks to Ciba.
Saritha.
