I485 approved after I140 redo

Friends,

Just heard the good news that my case has been approved on April 9. Both me and my husband had RFE. Mine has been approved, but my husband\'s case is till pending.

Details: EB2/India.
PD Jan 1999
ND Sept 2000
RFE Feb 2001
RFE reply recd by INS on Mar 21.
Approved on Apr 9.

I wish I could give this good news to my Dad, who passed away last Oct. He knew how anxious I was to get the GC (I had completed my 6 year in H1 and was on the verge of having to leave US). Unfortunately I couldn\'t even see him for the last time on the news of his passing away as I was stuck in US with no H1 and my Advanced Parole wasn\'t approved yet.

Anyway, good luck to you all who are still waiting. Hope you guys all get your approvals soon.

The I140 approval came after a week of replying the RFE and my attorney sent INS a copy immediately.

i am sorry to hear that , but be brave . since now you are GC holders, and could not change something
which was not in your hands, but help out people who require your help . That\'s the way of repaying back

I also had the same touching feeling as an and Maja while reading your
post. It was such a horrible system that prevented your from travelling.
I am sure your father would be very glad that the process is finally over
for you.
