I485 approvals processing based on PD or 485 Application date??

I understand that INS is processing I485 based on Priority dates - only for those with PD of during or before 1998. Do any of you guys have any information regarding this?

IF APPROVALS ARE COMING FOR THE CASES PRIOR TO \'98, MINE IS \'96. I AM NO WHERE AT THIS TIME. SO, WHAT YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT APPROVALS BASED ON PD IS ABSOLUTELY THE BASIS? PL. CONFIRM, IF YOU KNOW EXACTLY OR ANYTHING ELSE, THANKS IN ADVANCE.
