I485 approval message

Current Status: Approval notice sent(I485)

All, Received emails stating that our 485 approval notices have been sent. This morning during infopass meeting, came to know that our name check/security checks have been cleared. I was feeling good since morning that name check hurdle cleared. As per earlier Infopass appointment in April, I was told that our name checks are yet to be initiated, wondered why I did not get response from FBI since 2005 Jan/Feb. 2nd FP was completed on May 10th. My priority date was ported from EB3 to EB2 category couple of month’s back(I believe)


Below is my timeline
PD: 2002 EB3
Labor approved: Sometime in 2004
I140 AD: Dec2004
Moved to a new company as the division I was working was sold. New company filed PERM & I140 last year. I-140 was approved last year in EB2 category.
Attorney sent the letter to port priority date in Feb 2007. Since then I have been calling 800 number & scheduled Infopass appointments periodically to get any update on my case.

Good luck to you all, hope you would get the GC approval very soon.
Learnt a lot from this forum, I was mentally prepared to schedule infopass appointment once in a month to get any update on my case.
 
First of all Congratulations.

So..your PD became current since long time as because your EB3 converted to EB2. By the way, you are from which catagory like ROW, India, China etc...

Hi, Currently I am in the same situation .

1) Could you please let me know what other thing you have done ?

2) Taking Info pass oppointment is any worth ? What information you got from there ?
3) Have you or your attorney received any acknowledgment's after sending documents for porting dates ?
4) Is it compulsory that attorney has initiate porting priority dates ?? Any advantage ?
5) Can we do by our self's ? IF we have approved I 140 notices? As I 485 is our application ?
