I485 and I-94

I am a USC.
I filed I-130 and I485 for my parent in June '08. The expiry date on her I-94 is Oct '08.

I have read that the I-94 date does not apply after you file for I485. I would like confirmation on this.

Yes, your parent should be ok as far as status goes. Nothing to worry about.

That is correct.
The only problem would be in the unlikely even of the I-485 being denied, the person would go immediately out of status due to previous I-94 expiry.
