Is anyone on this portal has experience with INS interview process for I-485 adjustment status ? Got a nice surprise for the holidays I-485 processing in Chicago was reduced to 10 months. They really got improved. Applied on March 2001 and my interview is set to February 2001. Also, I filed based on marriage to US citizen. I entered on an H1B status. Will they look on the W-2 of mine to check that I was in status on that period, pay stubs from my former employer etc. I also lost the I-791 original approval notice of the H1B issued by Nebraska service center, I have only a copy. Will that be sufficient ? Is keeping H1B status is relevant to marriage based adjustment of status or not at all and the officer looks examines the marriage only.
