Hi all,
Iam new to this forum. My case is as follows.
My company is based in MD. I've filed my GC from there & also got the fingerprinting done.

I presently stay in NY, and iam thinking of moving to NJ.

Is it advisable to move? What should i do to ensure that all the
future correspondence from the INS will come to my new address.

Also will a copy of the correspondence (eg: RFE, Notices etc) be sent to my Lawyer ?

any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance

Your lawer gets a copy.

All the correspondence from INS will be sent to your lawer first and you get a copy of it. So even if you move to new place there is nothing to worry as long as the lawer communicates with you promptly.

Please do file AR-11 if you move to NJ and advice the lawer to intimate your address change to INS.

thanks

gentle breeze, thanks.

i was going through the posts & i learnt that when u change the address, you need to do the following
(1) file AR11
(2) file G 732N (or something like that)
(3) talk to the IIO & get them to change the address over the phone
(4) pray & hope that the INS indeed sends the future correspondence to the new address.

my another concern is that since my address change is across 2 states (NY to NJ), will the INS raise any RFEs

thanks,
