I485 approved yestoday, I am planing to have PP stamped. The approval notice ask to bring I-94 with approval notice.

I am wondering if I should bring the original I-94 forms or the copys?
Will USCIS return the I-94 back to me?
Should I bring all of the I-94 forms or only the one I got when I entered US?

Any answers will be aprriciated!

Congratulations! Take original I-94 form with you. You do not need I-94 any longer after PP stamping. Take the latest one. Usually one should deposit I-94 before leaving USA.

take photocopy of ID as well as passport

When I went for passport stamping (SFO) on Dec. 2nd, they asked me for a photocopy of my ID (or driver's license) as well as a photocopy of my passport. Both of these they retained. Since I hadn't carried these with me, I had to use the rather lousy copier available in a store on the premises. This caused me to miss my appointment, but when I explained this to the lady, she was very understanding and even told me not to worry so much about the poor quality of the photocopies.

This appears to be a new procedure since all that was initially needed were

Approval Notice (hand over)
I-94 (original to hand over),
AP (hand over)
EAD (hand over)
2 passport size photographs with Name and Alien Number written at the back. (hand over)
Now in Addition: Photocopy of passport (hand over)
Now in Addition: Photocopy of ID or Driver's license (hand over)
They will also fingerprint you.

This might also be some kind of a fraud prevention measure. Or perhaps they only applied it to me. Who knows!

Hope this helps

When officer requested photocopy of passport, was it copy of all pages? Or only relevant pages?

passport and ID photocopy at passport stamping at SFO

greeka: When officer requested photocopy of passport, was it copy of all pages? Or only relevant pages?

memsg: I didn't bother to find out. Somewhere I read that they want all pages even the blank ones. I thought I would spend less time (but more money at a ridiculous 25c per page) if I just copied all the damn pages.

In any event, it was not the officer, rather the token giver (the first person who sees your approval notice and photographs and hands you a queue token) who asked me to make the photocopies. In my haste while photcopying, the page numbers were cut off which I explained to the officer who finally took my case. She told me not to worry. Lets see what happens next.

Hmmm, so safe to keep copy of all pages of passport and ID with you when you go for stamping I guess.
