I140 - Status updated but no information

Guys,
I just logged in to my portfolio and found out that across I-140 " Last Updated" date is 05/17/2004. However when I clicked the I-140 EAC# I see the same old information saying

"Your I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was received on September 23, 2003. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 90 and 485 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."
I get the same message when I checked by entering the case# without login.

Isn't that strange? I am kind of nervous. Is that a good or bad sign? I can't wait to see the updated status.
Please guys share your experience.

how big is ur co ? what is net imcome for past 2-3 years ? were u paid equal to LC amount throught GC process upto now ?

Seeing even the last updated change was a great moment for me (imagine what my condition has become). Same here ND 09/22/03. No email or no change in Website status.

But Still !!!!! Some change better than..... I was beginning to wonder if the values of date last updated was 'hard coded' :)

You know sometimes I think that the actual GC may be an anti climax (please let that happen soon !!!).

my ND is sep 26 2003, last updated date is 09/29/2003 (day they performed a puja on my file and kept it some where), it never changed, i think they won't work on my case unless they run out of all other cases and would feel like they have nothing else for time pass... :confused:

My company is a mediocre and I do not have any idea about the financial condition; In fact I never visited my company and I think it no different from any other desi consulting. However I am getting the same salary as stated in LC.

Do not get depressed. Its time for you now. Keep the hope alive.
 
No not address change

I can't speak for Dev but in my case it is definitely not an address change so I guess there is some movement. One of my friends whose ND is around 09/18/03 saw a change in the update date on 05/04/04 so I guess it all ties up that things are happening sequentially so Manoj cheer up you will see Ur last update change in a day or two and hopefully have Ur 140 by June 1st week or mid 04.

No I did not. Probably they opened this file to start processing. If so, how many days would it take to finish processing?

Was there any movement after the update to your friend? Please update me on that. We can analyse the pattern if the same scenario occurs across many other applicants.
 
My ND is July 30th. I saw last updated date changed to 04/20/2004 from my 30th July. I am waiting to hear something about my I-140. Lets see... Good to you guys.
 
Manoj .. dont worry .. I will be there with you till the end ...my ND is 8/25 last update date is 8/27. Nothing ..Zilch..nada .....after that..

ohhh. Thats interesting. already waited for about a month since your last update. Did your lawyer received any information from CIS so far? BTW, what do you make of it? Any guess?

Dev,

My friend recd an RFE on his 140 App. RFE was on "progressive experience". The RFE was issued on 05/11/04 i.e. 7 days after it was "touched". Will keep the forum posted on any developments on my app.

Thats not good though.
Can you eloborate on the RFE "progressive experience"?
 
Experience

From what I gathered progressive experience needs to be shown across the spectrum of experience mentioned in the application. Even he does not know what it exactly means and is waiting for lawyer clarification.

Lawyer says they havent received anything yet. Friend of mine too have a same issue. Thinking about calling USCIS next week.
