i140 Status - A very wierd situation

I had my I 140 approved last month (March 2003) and the on line status showed the correct message. The lawyer received the approval notice and I received a copy of it.

But I when I checked the on line status out of curiosity after 3 weeks, the message changed to ' Received the I 140 petition for immigrant worker on 04/xx/2003. It takes between 90-300 days etc.,..

Very wierd. Any one has any explanations or similar experience?

Don't trust the Online status system completely, becasue I am having a similar situation where it is still showing as if their is a problem in my I-485 initial application, but I have the I-485 filling receipt and everything is fine.

I also talked to IIO about it and she told me that this type of cases are very common, so if you have received the approval notice then you have to go by that and not by Online status for this specific case.

the online system is super weird.. and so is INS..

My I-140 was approved early January and they sent us the notification via mail..

Later the online changed couple of weeks back saying that the I140 was approved on APril 15, 2003.... also we got another notification via mail that it was approved April 15 2003..

My lawyer was totally confused.. they keep approving my I140 every 2 months.... jeez!!!! Will ya begin the work on the 485 already????!!
