Hi,
My company has applied for my 140 (standalone) and
ND:Aug 4 2003.
The current processing dates are Aug 22 '03. I spoke to my lawyer and he says
"that my case may take a bit longer in that you were substituted for another approved case and that requires USCIS to request a new approval from the US Department of Labor, a step not required in other cases"

Does anyone know what exactly this mean.

Please let me know as i have to apply for my 485 .

Thanks in advance,
Rams76

Most probably employer was not able to send original approved LC along with your I-140 petition. In that case, USCIS usually sends letter to DOL asking them to verify the LC. I guess, that's what your attorney is talking about.
