I140 info from jun/jul filers

date for I140 is june 30 2004, have not recd any communication from TSC, have any of you recd anything for that time frame, it is in EB2 category, another quick quest, do tsc go by PD (mine is aug 2001) or by date of application of I 140 ,

they use I140 application date for approving I140. They use PD date to approve I485 application. Since you are EB2 and also you PD is good, may be you will be approved soon.

Although this might not be true all the time, once you receive FP notice, I485 gets approved within couple of months after that (looking at the pattern for the past year)

This week there were lot of approvals for 2004 april-august filers.

So, hold on.

Is the PD date for EB2 also the AD of LC? Mine AD of LC is in March, 2003. Does this imply that my I140 won't be proved soon?

FP Notice

To Anyone,

Does the FP notice gets mailed to you directly or mailed to your lawyer?

Priority date(PD) is when you first applied for the LC with the department of labor. (This is the same as Receipt date (RD) for you LC).

Approval Date (AD) is when the Department of labor approved you application. This is date is of no use other than that you are eligible to apply for futher process.

USCIS will process I140 regardless of category/country.

Since you are EB2 there are no restrictions on anything.

You will get a FP Notice as well as lawyer will get FP notice

AND HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR A GC AFTER YOU GET YOUR PP . A FRIEND OF MINE IN FLORIDA CALLED USCIS AND THEY SAID WAIT ABOUT AN YEAR. DO YOU GET YOUR GC IN MAIL AND DOES THE PROCESSING CENTER MAIL YOU. IS STATE VISA GIVING VISA NUMBER TO PIORITY DATE OF 01/2002. HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR A VISA NUMBER..

My PD: 10/2001, EB2
I am yet to get approval notice, i am planning to do stamping somewhere in Feb. Currently after 1551 stamping you apply for a GC and get it typically withing 2/3 weeks (they official quote a one year)
 
is there some kind of quota for eb2 and eb3

Hi,

as you have observed that eb3 I140 is going very fast and eb2 is just stagnating , is there some kind of quota system there , i really dont understand what is the logic,
