My wife and I visited Boston INS office on 1/10, Friday. She got her AP renewed, and I got my damanged EAD replaced. The process is just as usual, painless but long waiting. We arrived at about 7:30 am, got the number 65 ~ 66, and got our documents at 2 pm.

Now a question for a friend.
My friend and his wife filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently in October 2002. They got their I-485 receipts about one month later, in November.
1. Will there be an I-140 receipt from INS? If there is, how long did you get it based on your experience?
2. Since the two apps are filed together, will they also be approved together? Or is it going to be like the normal case, receiving I-140 approval first, and then I-485 approval?
