I140 - I485 and Priority Dates

I have recently filed I140 - on May 8th 2006. I am on L1A visa and have filed under EB1. I see the dates for EB1 have moved to Jan 1 2006.

My question is, if the dates become current can I file I485 right away even if I140 is being processed?
