i have 4 letters of exp ..amounting to aprox 6 years. ( 5 years mentioned in LC ).
2 of those are not very descriptive . One of them states that ..:" this is to verify that ....was an employee of <corp name> from date to date as <designation>.
I have tried numerous times to contact the company..but they just told me as per company policy they cant write anything more. Is this ok?

I am not 100% sure but you need descriptive letters of employment for the number of years mentioned in LC. The description should include job title, duties performed, etc.

I think you can also put the supplement to you experience letters from your project leader or some co-worker about the duties you performed and any other details. They should be notarized. Just consult your attorney before doing that.

I have submitted the experience letter from a co-worker but did not get the letter attested.. this is something new I am hearing... Are there any other folks who did this?

THere is no need to get experience letters notarized.

Tammy..when u submitted letters from co-workers..were they on blank papers? or were they on their company letterheads?
