Hi,

This is about the I140 related documents to take alongwith for the CP interview.

My interview is at Mumbai in Nov. and mine was the regular CP case. Since my labour was approved way back in 2001, it didn't go through NVC and instead went directly to the consulate.( As a result of that I will have to pay all the fees in Mumbai only )

questions
==========
Do I take the "original" I-140 "approval notice" with me for the CP interview ( It is just like the H1B approval notice)? Or should I just take a photocopy of that ? My attorney has sent me the photocopy. I am wondering if I should ask for the original to take with me.

Also, about the company employment letter, should it mention the "current" salary OR the minimum required salary mentioned on the Labour Cert. application. ?
My current "base salary" is *less* that the one mentioned on Labour Cert application. But, my "gross salary" is more than that.

Please advise!!!!

thanks,

{Ask for the original and carry it. You should also note that
this is only to address 'just in case' situation and not a
requirement laid down by the Consulate.

Carry the I-140 + the set of documents that were filed.
Carry the copy of the LC if you have it. In the same way
you would carry the copies of your H1B approvals also.

Again don't be too concerned if you don't have a particular
document }

Also, about the company employment letter, should it mention the "current" salary OR the minimum required salary mentioned on the Labour Cert. application. ?

{The company must mention the salary quoted in the LC
as the salary that you are going to get once you have
your Immigrant visa. This has been clarified several
times in this forum }

My current "base salary" is *less* that the one mentioned on Labour Cert application. But, my "gross salary" is more than that.

{This is not an issue, as it looks like the difference is only
marginal. As long as you carry a letter as above, that is
all they need }

Please advise!!!!
