I140 Approved - No updates on USCIS case status website.

I got a call from my Attorney Y'day and she mentioned me that my I140 is approved and she is mailing me the copy of my approval notice. I do not know the Approved date yet.

Following is the mystery with USCIS website wrt my case:
- I went to the USCIS case status website and checked the I140 status; I see the old notice and does NOT state the case is approved.

- I have registered with the USCIS website to recive my case status by email; But I have not recived any mail about the approval.

- The last updated date shows 9/10/2003 for my I140 & I485; my ND- is 9/05/2003; I received my EAD & AP in the month of December 2003 and Feb 2004 respectively. I was in the impression that the last date should have been reflected as Feb 2004 when my AP is approved in Feb 2004.

- On my I485 case status it states that We have determined that "there was an insufficient payment for the fingerprint fee for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status. On September 5, 2003 we sent you a notice of this, with an opportunity to submit the fee. Your case is being held in suspense until we receive your fingerprint fee".
When I spoke with my Attorney with regards to this message; she has already spoke with the representative and should be any issue.

If any of you guys have gone though same issues please provide more information so that it could be shared with others and also give your thoughts.

I have had somewhat similar situation, although not as good as yours.
My applications were sent in July 2003, and I received my EAD and AP in August 2003. But my on-line status for AP is "On July 18,2003, we received your....", and it has been like that ever since last August. But I have the real approved notice from USCIS. And I called the customer service a couple of months ago about this, I was told that the on-line system is not guaranteed to be updated. So I guess you are safe. So enjoy your approval for now.

Hi All,

same situation here, after reading your msgs above, I just called my laywer and was told that my 140 got approved on 05/05/2004. Online msg on BCIS same old one, not yet updated and No mail from BCIS , registered with them.

ND: 08/26/2003
AD: 05/05/2004

140/485/ead/ap same ND 08/26/2003
No FP yet and 485 pending
EAD and AP for me and my wife approved om 11/01/2003.

Did you try calling them?

SafeNH, Have you tried giving them a call at the toll-free number to check your case status? Maybe that's more accurate than the website.

Remember, its the USCIS IT dept. you are talking about!! ;)

I tried the toll-free number too; it says the same message as shown in the website and not the approval message. Looks like both toll-free number status check and online message come from the same stream of information and are syncronous.

Guys who have notice dates of August 2003 and September 2003 whose I140s are still pending could check with there respective attorneys if they have received any approval notice. No harm in making a call and checking the luck isn't it?

Congrats, what is ur ND and category eb3 or eb2?

these 2 caase have been approved on may 4th and may 9th, both cases belongs to Sep 18th 2003

donno who are lucky fellows, mine is ND sep 26th and a labor substitution, bit difficult case too i guess, i just want them to tell me there verdict so that i can plan accordingly but i know kind of luck i have, they would work on every one's apps other then mine.... :confused:

My I-140 was approved yesterday 13th May 2004.
