I140 approved for cp but applied for AOS

"In Approved I140 it is mentioned that they have sent it to Department of state visa center(NVC),NH.It also says that NVC will processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action and send the approved petition to consulate"
     What does it mean ?Is my I140 is cleared for CP?
But we have applied for AOS/I485 on oct 26 2001. We have not asked INS specically to approve I140 for CP.
     Will it be Ok applying for AOSeven I140 is cleared for CP

you I-140 is CP, you need to call NVC make sure case still hold on at NVC, and call you lawyer, make sure he get packet 3.
 
Same Boat - 140 CP

My attorney without my knowledge applied 140 for CP . On recieving the Packet 3 , he replied to NVC that I will be going for AOS rather then CP.

How do I know what my 140 is now .
