I140 approval notice

My I140 got recently approved my RD 06/04/2002, but my company is not handing over my approval notice. Does this stop me from changing employers ? What negative impact this may have.

if you leave now you have lost the beneift of i1-40 and have to start again. just file 485 get receipt date and notice in your hands count your 180 days,leave,

inform ins you left under ac21 and fight so that the green card slavery act is abolished and people who get benefits should get it within 1 year instead of 5-7 years.

point out the draconian and unfair laws and intentional delays by all agencies and parties

Sorry, I did not post info about my I485 , I applied for I485 in Sept 2002 hence I have passed 180 days for portability limit.

Hi,

You can change your employer and can take advantage of AC21 law. It doesn't matter even if you don't get a copy of approval of your I140. If you have your EAC number then that is sufficient. Also if your previous lawyer is company lawyer then you need to get another lawyer for your green card process. He will help you with your green card. And he can demand the papers required from your previous employer.
