I140 and I485 filing, please help

I am trying to fill out the I140 and I485 that I downloaded from USCIS website using the adobe acrobat, but for some reason, it is not allowing me to type (unlike other PDF files). is there anyone that have these forms and don't have this problem? does everyone use a typewriter for these fomrs?

Check out www.visapro.com - they have downloadable, free, fillable PDF forms.

The ones you download from BCIS site are not fillable. Those need to be printed and filled with hand or on a typewriter.
