My situation is a little complication. In July 2007, my PERM I140 was approved and the I1485 was filed in Aug. 2007. In July 2008, another I140 under EB1B category was filed for me. In Oct. 2008, another company acquired my old company. In Nov, 2008, the new company filed amended I140 claiming the successor in interest. In Feb. this year, I received email update saying the first EB1B I140 was approved. I am trying to get this approved I140 linked to my I-1485. But the company attorney said interfiling request can't be made before the amended I140 is approved. I wonder if I can make the interfiling request by myself. I read post about people DIY interfiling. If I can, what do I need? Do I need the approval notice? The receipt notice has been missing for more than 5 weeks for some reason. Thanks a lot.
