I have a I485 pending since Sep 2000. I have got EAD/AP and did my FP in Jan 2001.
In Dec 2000 my lawyer said to apply for new I140 due to company acquisition. He said it would better to
apply for the ammended I140 now rather than to wait for them to send RFE. Now I have got an RFE for the ammended I140
for details about company merger etc. (My nice lawyer messed up this..., I think you do need to send documents about
company acquisition since that is the reason for the new I140)
I think they are holding up the I485 because of the I140. Do I need to tell them explicitly about the pending I485 with
the RFE reply? Also does anybody knows that in such a situation can I change jobs if I get layed off?
Any advise in this matter would be very helpful. Thanks...Satyen
