I140 AD -->NVC case created

Hi,

My 140 approved on Dec 7th. I\'ve called up NVC to check the status
of my case. Operator said that they have recived the case on Dec 12th
and it will take 6-8 weeks to create the case.

Is this correct ? I thought it just take couple of days...

Can someone confirm it..

Creating Case

My I-140 reached NVC on Dec 10. They have not created a case yet, the operator said it\'s still in the mailroom, but "the P3 will be sent in 4-6 weeks".

Why is it taking so long to CREATE a case (NOT P3)? From cptracker, for most cases, the NVC Case created date = NVC Receipt Date. At worst, it takes a day or two.

Any information on this? Is it (speculation) related to anthrax problems?

Since the case # has not been created for you, what does the message play when you call NVC? My I-140 was approved on Dec 7th. Lawyer said it was for CP. But NVC message says that my case can\'t be found. Do you think if I talk to NVC operator they can tell me if they received the petition or not.

At last.....case reached NVC

I-140 RD: Sep 13,2001
NVC RD: Dec 18
Case not created yet.

It is my christmas gift from VSC. It took close to 100 days to reach the case from VSC to NVC. Seems file took a flight via afganistan.
Better late than never !!!!!!!

Hi CANiGETgc,
  was your 140 approved for CP right at first or did you apply for 824 for change from AOS to CP? I am surprised it took 100 days. In cptracker I do see that some approvals in early Dec have already reached NVC in 1 week
 
Nope......

It was change from AOS to CP with just a plain letter sent before approval of I-140.

I-140 for AOS approved on Aug 20.
I-140 for CP approved on Sep 13.

No clues why it took so long.......I had lost all hope looking at the pace in which others got their case in NVC.
 
spoke to NVC

They said they received my case on Dec 12th. It will take 6-8 weeks to create case. I think they give consistent info to all.
We should be patient....
 
spoke to NVC yesterday

They had not recieved my case. she said wait for up to 90 days. Then contact them. I\'m tempted to switch to AOS now. My I140 AD is Dec 3rd EB3. This really sucks!!!
