Hi, my mom's I-130 got approved and her interview is schedule on 11/9/04. Her english is not that great...should I worry? Will they ask tough questions? what kind of questions do they generally ask? can I go with her to her interview? anyone recommend that we get an attorney for the interview? thanks a bunch!

English is not a requirement, so you that's fine. If you worry that she won't be able to communicate well, take in interpreter with you. I *think* this could be anyone who speaks her language and English as soon as this person is not involved with the case. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

does that mean I can go inside the interview room with her?

Hi! thanks for the resposnes. does that mean I can go inside the interview room with her?

You certianly can. It would be better double check this with your local office where your Mom'll have the interview.

You can accompany your MOM inside the room but You cant act as interpretor and niether can her attorney.
If you read the interview notice clearly all this is mentioned on the bottom.
Also they may want to talk to your mother alone without you. As they did ina recents case for a frnd of mine.
They somehow wanted to talk to his mom alone.
so mentally prepare your mom for that.
Most family based interviewseaspecially for parents are easy and smooth.
As long as you have all the Docs you should be ok
