my i94 form was lost when i was a baby. im currently illegal in the united states but i have a petition approval. my father will be getting his citizenship soon so i can file for a adjustment of status. in order for me to file the i485 i need a i94 number. the i102, form for a replacement i94, asks my current "status". would i be safe enough without being deported to write "papers processing" or should i consulate a lawyer? what are my other options?

I had the same thing...I was waiting for my husband to become citizen... When I did the form i-102 to get a replacement because I had lost my I-94, I wrote B2 on that question - the visa I came in. It was approved with no problem.

did you come as a tourist and overstayed?

would writing "approved i130" be probable?

i just want to make sure i wont get some sort of mail saying you will now be deported for being illegal lol.
