I’m a US citizen and I married an Italian citizen (on an F-1 visa). We want to live in Italy when he finishes school, but now he needs to renew his F-1 in Italy (he has two years left for his PhD program). Will our marriage keep them from renewing his F-1?
He is in Italy right now, has his appointment next week, and needs to go back to school in August.
We understand that we could have applied for a green card but he wants to go back to Italy (me too!) when he's done.
