I turn 21 & US Citizen - Plan to help my mother get Green Card/US Papers

I will be turning 21 in November, and I'm a US Citizen (born in the US).

I found out I am able to help my mother out with her residency papers. She came to the US with a Visa and has her passport but when she went to renew her passport she didn't notice but they removed her I-94 paper. She has been living here (NY, USA) for now 21 years. The only problem I believe is that, when she registered me as a baby and got my social security card, she recieved one also and has been working with that social security all these years. Mainly she did taxes and would recieve money due to having dependents and a low income, but now for maybe two years she has been paying taxes. She has never been arrested and she's paid everything (credit cards, taxes, etc).

My main concern is that will she and I have a problem when applying? Regarding her having a Social Security card (that we don't know how it's registered, but it does have my mother's name, birthdate, address, etc.; we know this when applying for credit cards and a credit report). And would it be a problem because she doesn't have her I-94? I was told to fill out some form and pay like $300, but my mother doesn't remember what airline or airport she came through.

Does it seem possible that my mom will get her papers within the 6 month period? Or any advice on what we should do now? Thank you in advance.
