I think I made an error on my N400. What should I do?

On the N-400 Part 1C it asks if you have ever used other names. I left this blank for my wife when we filled out her form.

Today we went to get fingerprinted. They give you a small form to fill out while you are waiting. It asks you name, address etc etc. The information from this form is entered into the computer while they take your fingerprints. One of the questions on this form has you list other names you have used in the past. It specifically says include all other names including maiden names. My wife included her maiden name on this form for the Fingerprint check.

This got us thinking....Should we have also included my wife's maiden name in Part 1C under on the N-400?

We don't want to slow down the process with unnecessary complication....

What do you think she should do:

1) Do nothing?
2) Send the service center a letter to correct i?
3) Bring it to the IO's attention when she attends the interview and correct it at that time?

Since she included both her married name and her maiden name on the fingerprint form I would think they will check both names for the FBI and background check. Therefore leaving it off the N-400 may not be a problem?)

Thoughts?

Hello Dr,

When you go to your interview, the officer will go with you through your N400. Just tell him/her you left that by mistake and he/she will correct it. Just sit back, relax and enjoy your time, it’s just a mistake/ error. And they use to it.

I wish you and your wife the best.

Ps,
Make sure you make copy for everything and anything you send it to them.

Don't worry, the main purpose of the interview is to check the N-400 and correct any mistakes you may have in your application.
Like Mr. LA said, you can correct that at the interview.
