I Spoke to an IIO. I wish I didn\'t

Hi all

I just spoke to an IIO 5 minutes ago (It took me forever to get through!)and I told her that my 485 application has a RD/ND of Jan 00, PD current, country other and I was wondering how much more time before they reach the Jan 00 cases. She told me it will be about another year or more before they get to Jan 00 because they are still flooded with AUG/Sept and OCT 99 cases. I don\'t think she was pulling my leg because she was extremely nice and polite to me.

This is WRONG!! Peoples lives are on hold. Why are the other service centers processing mid 2000 cases (CSC) and we are stuck in this %$#$ hole.

No offense but it looks like the IIO was screwing with you, although politely. My ND is Jun00 and the IIO said ... let\'s see, we are processing sep99 and you are jun00, so your case will take 9 more months for adjudication [I could make out that she was trying to count the months]. And this one was polite too!!

Moral of the story is don\'t depend on the IIO\'s for any prediction. It\'s like astrology, you might want to ask them but you needn\'t believe what they tell you. The only useful information you can get is about the past and maybe the present.

I still wouldn\'t rule out totally what the IIO responded to me and here\'s why. I remember that last Aug 2000 they were processing Jul 99 & Aug 99 cases. Here we are in Jan 2001 and they are still processing some Aug 99 cases.

I hope you\'re write\' I\'ll take a screw rather than the truth right now!

I agree with Aqua. My ND is 9/99. When i called an IIO in October 2000, she said that i will definitely hear something by november 1 st. I waited till december and called. This time the IIO said that my case is under review and call back in 2 months. I am still waiting for my Approval. I decided not to call anymore until it happens.
