Well, Steep retrogression is continuing since Oct 2005. Sofar, three months has gone. My biggest doubt is, has USCIS has approved correct number of 485 till date?

for example, let us see EB2 cases. The number of EB2 visa for this year is 42,000. Based on per country and per quarter limit, my calculation is that per month atleast 250 EB2 India, 250 EB2 China and 3000 EB2 rest of the world's 485s should have been approved.

Therefore, from Oct 1 2005 to Dec, 31 2005, 750 Eb2 India, 750 Eb2 china and 9000 rest of the world EB2-485s should have been approved by USCIS. I seriously doubt 9000 485s in Eb2 class was approved in this three months. The same concept applies to EB1 and EB3 catagaory. What you guys think? Is there any way to check the howmany 485s was approved by USCIS per month?

Retrogression = Extended vacation

can_card,

This retrogression is like an extended vacation for USCIS officers. All they do is approve EADs and APs these days. A few 485s are approved here and there. There is no sense to this retrogression. It is a result of ridiculous policies and utter mismanagement. To top it all of, the USCIS can't stop praising itself. Every other day I read some article explaining the great strides they have made and how much backlog they have eliminated. Its insulting.
