I Recived my New RTD Yesterday

Hello all of my friends
I Recived my New RTD yesterday.My RTD recived Date was September 29 - 20003 and i they mail my RTD March 04 - 20004.
This new RTD is light Green color and also it's valid for only 1 year.

I sent my Old Oreginal RTD with I-131.

I have some Question people who use New RTD and went outside USA. What ever i heard from other people when u come back with RTD. US Immigration officer take that person diffrent room and ask all kind of question. Did any one face that before when u get in US Immigration? What kind of Question they asked and what kind of document they want to see?---Or they do that only when u wait in line like other people? Did any thing change with that New RTD?
I also like to Germany soon did German Immigration want to see any kind of document seince RTD don't need VISA to get in Germany.

i travel to canada by car with my new RTD, there is no problem at all, the officer did not even take my old RTD away (i did not turn in my old one)

If I am not mistaken Germany does not require a visa if one holds the status of REFUGEE or ASYLEE and are using your Travel Document. However if you are a Permanet Resident and using the TRAVEL Document then you are required to obtain a visa prior to visiting Germany.

If the information has been updated or changed then I would like to be corrected.

I Never Applied for Canadian Visa also i never use my Refugee Travel Document--but i am thinking to apply for Canadian Visa-what kind of document i have to submit with RTD for Canadian visa---Thanks again--
 
Applying and obtaining a Canadian Visa is a very straightforward process. I had to obtain it for past 6 years.

The basic criteria Canadian's are looking for is that person applying for a visa has developed roots in USA and will go back after the visit.

To show my closes ties to US, I have shown following documents.

Income Tax records (W2 or copies of 1040)
Bank Statements for past three months
Paystub documentation ... (We get paid electronically so I took the computer print out copies)
House mortgage statement - Incase one is renting you can use copy of the rental agreement

If you can exhibit that you have job, place to live and funds to visit then usually there is no complication. Canadians are happy to oblige you by taking $50 for single entery visa and $100 for multiple entry visa.
