I received a letter from the white house, and I need your opinions/ feedback

Hi Everyone,

I wrote a letter to MRS. Bush at the end of May, explaining to her the 2 years delay in my N-400 due to the name check/ background security check. I also told her that I’m a scientist, just get my MBA from American university, 2 FBI-FOIPA with no record, 2 N-400 interviews get cancelled because the Name Check p.s.
I also told her that she is my last hope in solving this problem with FBI/ CIS before leaving the country, since I can’t take this any more.

Today, July/ 20, I received a printed card from the white house (Director of correspondence/ office of the first lady) stating that the first lady is thanking me for my letter. She shared my INFO with members of the white house staff who work directly with the agency that has jurisdiction over my issue. The appropriate agency will review my correspondence and be in touch with me directly. And she hopes the circumstances I face will be resolved soon.

Now my question to all folks had a similar letter before from the white house, is this means that my name check will be resolved soon and I will get a new interview letter.
Or FBI/ CIS will come back to me with the old crap of name check is pending and can take several years to get resolved, with an ugly copy of the fact sheet they posted in their website.

Please share your opinions/ experience.

the printcard from the white house only said that the agencies would be in touch with you directly. so logic dictates that it did not assure you a speedy resolution, especially a favorable outcome. and there is no assurance as to how the agencies would react to such a request from the 1st lady's office.

Having said that, 99% of the time, the delay in security check is probably just the file languishing in a file drawer somewhere in the agency. a kick in the rear end by the white house hopefully will speed up things and get it through the process.

On that 1% chance that there is something that needs to be done (you may have a weird name, or some ties that could potentially be construed as links to a terrorist / organization, for example), all bets are off.

Thanks for your input.

Any other opinions guys, especially from folks received similar letters before.

Hi,

I have not written the white house on this matter, but I know that the government establishments have to respond to all the letters they receive. Every office has a special representative who is there to respond and I would imagine there is somewhat standard reply to every claim, so that being said, I personally doubt that the response you got mean anything. I worked with senator's office before and it seems like the best you'll be able to get is someone at Mrs. Bush's office contacting the appropriate person at FBI, getting the standard reply...that your name check is pending...

Sorry about this terrible situation, seems like there are a A LOT of people who are in the same situation. Hope it all gets resolved very soon. Good luck!

I am not a huge optimist since this seems as a "standard" answer. Ultimatelly, you never know. But, I would give 80% that nothing important will come out of this and 20% that your NC will be completed.

However, I fully acknowledge you for taking a stand and doing all that you can.....You could easily sit down and just wait which is not acceptable!

For our knowledge, can you tell us what are all the things you did so far (in addition to contacting WH)?

Keep up spirits.

What can i tell you?

From sending letters all over the places, complaining about thoes pastards. or going to the Info pass place and fighting with them for 2 years so far.

I just hope this letter from W.H. is a good sign.

Moody

Why don't you Sue CIS, don't 120 days thing work like that? I noticed lot of people are getting cleared from NC crap once they fill in court against CIS. It seems that is the best option for NC clearance

The 120 days rule applys only for the people already get interviewed and passed the test.

In my case, i was deschadeuled, and i never get interviewed. so this rule dosn't applys to me.

You can file a WOM case then. There are many people on this forum did that. You can easily find an example. It is very painful to wait for something to happen endlessly like this.

I was consedring this, but i couldn't find any example for WOM cases for N-400. and i don't know the laws and ferderal codes for WOM cases for N-400. the attorney asked for $7,000, which i can't afford it now.

I want to take the other way by wrirting to the whaite house, senators. and today i get this letter from the first lady office.

So what do you guys think about it. should i wait a little bit, and see what's going to happen.

I think you can read through the following link and you will find our more information about WOM. I saw some people file WOM by themselves and won the case. Or you can post your question, on that thread and I believe people will be very happy to help you out. It is quite outrages to charge you $7,000. I think you might want to talk to more attorneys. Of course, to be able to file WOM, you have prove to the court that you have already exhausted all administrative methods already, namely contacting your house of representative, contacting your senator and contacting USCIS by yourself... Hope this helps.
