I need help regarding a vacation to Puerto Rico

I cannot find a definitive answer regarding my situation and need one soon, trip is scheduled for Aug. 14th!

I am a legal permanent resident in the US. I have been one since 1976 when my parents adopted me from S. Korea. They never followed through on getting me naturalized and my one attempt thus far has gotten lost in the mail. :( I have a drivers license and a SS card and a green card.

My question--can I travel to Puerto Rico and successfully return to mainland without a passport or visa or other document besides a driver's license? Please, I need help so that I do not get stuck in San Juan, unable to return to my family.

Thank you.

Well, thanks anyway, but I located the number for Customs and Border Patrol and talked to a very snotty officer who told me I would need nothing besides a green card and ID.
