I need help about my ead application.

I applied for work permit and was asked to submit additional identification which I did. It took about 2months and I received no information from uscis. I became frustrated and called them. Now when I check my case status it appears that my name has been updated. So what does it mean for my name to be updated. The whole issue is just getting me confused.

When did you apply?
If there was a misspelling in your name, why didn't they take care of it at the interview?

I read in another group related to eb category type visa that it means you cleared the background check and you received it soon.

Did u say it took you 2 months to get them the ID or it's taking months since you submitted the additional documents? Cos I know once you submit it doesn't take time for a first time applicant

It is taking months since I submitted the requested document.

Do you mean you applied for asylum in October or applied for EAD in October?
