Hello, I am still waiting for my I/L (Interview Letter) since 21 August 07 when I had done my FP in Los Angeles. I am applying to Citizenship based on marriage with a USC (3 yrs.). My question is: If my Interview will come around April/May, Do I MUST to have my taxes 2007 done with my husband for that date?. I have done 03,04,05,06 with him but now I'm a full time student at University.
Thanks...My frame times dates are very similar to Alect and Jedi Knight

Yes,

you cannot elect to file jointly one year and seperately in another. If you have no income that's one thing, but you have to file and jointly.
Though you do not have to file before the deadline.

Not sure, what's the tax day? April 15th or 18th? That's the deadline.

I am done with mine, just fishing for some more deducations before clicking the submit button.

Thanks Martin...meaning that If I have my Interview anyday before April 15 I have "excuse" of not taking the 07 taxes with me coz the dead line date of taxes wasn't coming yet?.

You got that right on the dime.

Of course; having it would give you bonus points, but then you can't cash them anywhere. You can also file for an extension (wouldn't do that though) and bring that with USPS receipt.
