Hi all.
I filed for my I-485 to the INS (California) in Feb, 2001. I have since received my EAD and Advanced Parole. However, I have not received my fingerprint notification. Based on the experiences of my friends and colleagues, I should have received it a couple of months ago. My issue is complicated due to an address change (which my lawyer has assured me has been communicated to INS) when my wife and I moved in May. I am concerned that the notification has been lost in the mail.
How can we check to see if INS has sent me the notification or not? The direct line that they have posted on their website is constantly busy. Should I meet with an independent lawyer (not affiliated with my employer)? Could anyone recommend a good immigration lawyer in the California Bay Area (preferably in the South Bay)?
