Dears,
I have been selected for DV-2014, out of 125,000 case number is AS19XXX, i have sent the forms of DS230, DS122 along with 2 Photos to KCC, but I didn't receive any confirmation email at the beginning that i was selected, I just remembered to checkout the selection website.

I have two questions:

1- After i sent my documents i have no idea, what is the procedure on how shall o receive my 2nd Notification letter? will it be through email or PO Mail address i have types inside the Form DS122- inside question 3?

2- I have seen some of the guys in this forum asking about the (Affidavits of support), but i actually didn't find this requirement mentioned anywhere in Abu Dhabi Embassy or any? any one can please help confirm what or whether something is required like this?

Firstly - congratulations!

First question is easy. You will receive an email telling you to check the ESC website for your appointment. Your selection letter will be replaced by an appointment letter for the conciliar office you chose.

Second question. Strictly speaking there is no requirement to have a sponsor. However you will be asked how you intend to support yourself in the USA. If you have plenty of assets and cash plus a good profession there will be no issue. If you have none of those things you may need to have some letter of support which can be filled out on form I-134. That forms is not legally binding so it just gives an idea that you will have someone there for you. In reality moving to the USA is not easy nor cheap so you shouldn't do it without some money behind you and a plan to find work etc...

Thank you for your inquiry.

Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing.

Please refer to the visa bulletin on our website at www.travel.state.gov after the 15th of August to locate the current numbers being processed.

Dear Britsimon,
Thanks again, i find your prompt replies as very useful in may threads,
for question 2, i think maybe if print my Local Bank statement, it have been showing stable savings above +20K$, maybe that should be enough?
i am also holding an electrical Engineering Degree, and currently employed in a good company, I assume i can find a JOB easily (Hopefully), do you think these points can be good enough? Maybe you can share your kind opinion?

Hi Monashed, Thanks for sharing, about the confirm email, that reply came after you have sent asking whether they received or not? Did yiu use a gmail, Hotmail, or some private company private domain? did they just sent the confirmation by them selves?

I think the combination of your savings and education/work experience would be enough to satisfy the CO. You probably have some other assets also - it won't harm to list them for the interview so you can use the form I-134 because it is a format they will be used to seeing, and it will show your net worth, which is probably higher than the 20k...
