i would like some advice. i am 42 years old. i came to the united states on an F-1 student visa.
my I-94 visa had an expiration date of 5/1985 but i graduated in 5/1982 and started working
for this company under practical training permission from INS. the practical training period
expired in 11/1982 but i continued working. i have been working illegally since then.
is there anyway i can get legalized? i hope so. i\'ve been illegally in the country since 11/82
(almost 19 years!!!) and i want to be a legal permanent resident. i think i missed the boat on
the 245(i) thing. will i be deported if i go to the INS for advice?
please give me some advice. thank you very much.

Speak to an immigation attorney - soon

245(i) is probably going to be extended. You need to speak with an immigration attorney ASAP so you can get this corrected, if possible. Delaying will accomplish nothing and may cause you to lose this window of opportunity.
