A Worried 18 yr old fella, I have a S/N could I use it?

I have a queston, I used to have a Green Card about 10 Years ago through my mom's former marriage, after the divorce we gave up our Green Cards and moved back to Canada. From the last Green Card, I still kept my Social Secerity number and well now my mom is married to another American, he has used my S/N for Tax returns and he is sponsering me for a Green Card (in which its pending right now). I want to know, Do you think it would be okay if I used my S/N for a Driver's Licease, a Job...etc? because I did use it to open a Bank Account here and I called USCIS and they said "thats fine, it's up to the Bank..not us."
Now Im 18 years old Canadian (Immiedent Relative, Not Married, Under 21, in the U.S. Legally), I have done all the Paperwork myself, I've done my research, I called USCIS 50 times a week lol and did the paperwork proper and easy for it to be accemble with the help of Tabs and easy to read typed writing lol, I've never been this nervous in my entire life (Afraid of denial and afraid of losing $585.00 for nothin). The Forms are now sent (I-485, I-130..etc) but I keep thinking about filing for a Work permit but it would take 3 months and yet USCIS said that it would take 5-6 months for my I-485/I-130 applications to go through and really Im afraid by the time my Work Permit (I-765) comes in, I would only have 2 or maybe 1 month remaining til I get a notice of approval or denial, so whats the use of spending 180.00 for something good for 2 months? (I understand the I-765 is only used if you want to work while your peition is pending).
So mainly the queston is, Do you think it would be okay If I used my S/N for Work, Driver's licease...etc?
Also, I mention this in my other thread but I might as well just clear it up for everyone else to see. Before I filed my Forms (i130,i485..etc) they told me NOT to send in my Medical Exam until I get a notice in the mail for a request of it, But should I go for my Medical Exam now just to get it over so when they request it, I can immiedently send it in or should I wait til I get an "Approval" letter cause I don't want to waste $200.00 If I get Denied, but yet Im worried they wont give me time..what should I do?
I hope you guys understand and Id appreate if you could help me out cause i've been worrying ever since I did the papers and really I dunno how you people deal with the Anxiety cause it's driving me insane lol..god bless your hearts lol.
Note: Just to clear things up so your not confussed, my last thread "I got an interview next Friday" is False, My Step-Father mis-read a letter that came in from USCIS and that Letter was an apointment for Fingerprints..pictures..etc.In which I have an Apointment next Thursday...sign of progress
