I have a problem with US Consulate in Yemen; the NVC has sent my family file (wife & 2 children) to the US embassy in Yemen and scheduled an interview to join me in USA. We have prepared all the necessary document forms & medical exam everything so the consular view everything and said your file is completed and ready but I want one of three documents to insure about your relationship: married photographs, wire transfer receipts or DNA “by the way Marge certificate was in the file, children certificates all of the documents and we have been married for 16+ years ); however she sent them the all what they asked for through DHL then we did not get updates for 45 days so I contact them and inquired about the status they said I have to wait for administrator procedures and they hung-up the phone (IN RUDE WAY) so I contact a friend he had same application and asked him??????
Unfortunately, he surprised me by saying you have another year to go and he told me that the consular has legal way to delay any case and US consular in Sana’a is doing it almost 80% :
If the file is ready they will take the fees and passports then he will ask for any document you did not prepared for it or he will ask you to wait for the Administrator Procedures, after that the story began:
a. Then you send them the document
b. So he has 60 days to take a decision from the receiving date
c. On the 55-60 days he will ask for new I-864 (Income Tax)
d. Then another 60 days to take a decision the receiving date
e. So on the 55-60 days he will ask for new background clearance (Yemeni finger print)
f. then he has 60 days to take a decision from the receiving date
g. So on the 55-60 days he will ask for new medical exam
h. then he has 60 days to take a decision from the receiving date
Until this moment I did not contact them it has been over 75 days, I’m worry if I start inquire about this case they will put me in this loop specially after my friend told me that two of the US senators did not help him they just forward the emails and I don’t have a lot of money to pay Lawyers. Is there any way to help me what to do to move this case before I got stucked in this loop, by the way three people told me same story.
