My RD is Sep 7th or 9th.
I had called IIO on Friday and she said that my case hasn't been worked on currently. It is not with an officer yet. They are processing Sep 1st cases and my file will be assigned around Sep 15th and a decision will be made in a month time. So by Oct 30 I should hear something.
I also asked her If I should apply for EAD renewal as EAD expires on Nov 25 this year, she said if you don't want to take a chance, apply for EAD otherwise if everything is OK with your application, you should have approval by Nov 1st at least.
I am thinking to apply for EAD now as my spouse will need it because of current job change. BTW, I had asked about unemployment on EAD earlier and we had applied for my spouse but looks like we won't need it as there is a job offer within 2 weeks of layoff!
