I had gone outside USA while in I485

Hi
I had gone out of USA while my I485 is in process. I travelled using my valid H1B visa and did not use my AP.
I have a new I 94 as i entered US again. So do i need to let INS know that i have a new I94.
Any help would be appreciated.
