I had 6 month out of status history. Can I apply for green card?

When I was holding F1 visa 7 years ago, I was out of status for 6 month. Then I re-stated my F1 status with the next school.

Now I am on H1B visa and I want to apply for green card. Will the 6 month out-of-status history cause any trouble in the green card application? What can I do to mitigate the issue?

Your kind advise is appreciated.
Thanks,
Annie

Chances of RFE in I-485 stage of GC process....Will create more problems when you apply from Citizenship.. not much for GC.

if another 245(i) shows up in future, you can pay 1000 dollars and wipe out "out of status" issue in GC process.

Don't think its a problem

Don't think they even look at the history that old. If they issued you an H1B, it means that they consider you as in status (Illegal or out of status people can't get an H1B approval). One of my friends was out of status 2-3 times during his 10 years of student life in the US and recently got his 485 approval.
