Well,

1. A friend of mine got approved (ND 11/2000)
2. A person I know got approved (ND 2/2001)
3. 2's cousin got approved (ND 4/2001)

so seems like they are working hard these days.

I have said this many times before. At the risk of sounding negative and depressing some folks... ( I can say things like this because i wanted years for my GC too :) ) the backlog reduction does not apply to asylees.

Even with the passing of the Real ID Act, it will take several years - yes I said YEARS - for CIS to clear the 184,000 asylee-based adjustments. Let's be honest here - this is a government entity. There is no competition, thus no reason for them to supercede themselves. A clear example would be the Refugee adjustments - those of you who followed this over the years would notice that although they don't have a cap, they were still backlogged at least 2 years (if not more) at any given time. Now in retrospect, 2 years is far better than 6, 10, or 15+ years! So I urge everyone to be patient and your time will come. Just remember that once we get our GC - there the 4 years to citizenship. And those of you who think its not a bad wait....think again! By the time we get our GCs we are so upset about the years of waiting that the 4 years seem like eternity. At least this is my take on it.

Did you get a note about 570-600 days?

Dear member,
when you got your receipt, did you get a note saying that it would take 560-600 days to process this kind of case?

I am wondering what new receipts say nowadays? Because that's what mine says and I am a bit sceptical. :(
