Yesterday, I received my GC in the mail. I think it pretty decent looking card with my beautiful picture and I don't like Michael Jackson in that picture  :)
I never received the email saying the card order has completed and my GC has been mailed to me which I'm sure will show up one of these days. ;)

Free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, for employment SSN+DL; for travel RTD alone should be enough; if you get trouble with local policy, DL is your ID. So, where you will use it? :)

I am just landing there..... Now have 2 GCs. If you plan to do so, make sure to bring all docs. They appear to know EVERYTHING.

Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, are you free now?

Windywd, When you are adjusted to PR, You need a green card to Travel with the RTD.....It says Permanent Resident on the RTD..My sister who is one came back from Germany and she was asked for it.

You can't go to the officer and say that it is still in process if you have received it unlike before...A RTD itself doesn't guarantee you entry if you are a Permanent Resident.

Want,

thank you for reminding me...... So, has my status been "upgraded" from PR to Asylum, and thus have to carry GC? I thought I can continue to use RTD alone as long as I stay away from "citizen and PR" line...... Anyway..... thx again.

I can apply for Canadian PR?

Free,

I simply landed, otherwise my canadian pr application will expire. I come back now.... :) Haven't made my mind of how and whether to stay in canada for 3 years to become their citizen. I guess I will wait the U.S. one first...

Yes, free, you can, but in a different category than asylum.....

Well I am certainly glad you are coming back. I have heard Canada is a much better place to live if we compare the medical benefits and other facilities. But I have also heard that the jobs are scarce! What's your opinion?

Canadian dollar has strengthened from 0.6 dollar to 0.85 now....

So, if you have a good job in canada, that may not be so bad....

both canada and u.s. require to see your incoming stamp when they give you exit stamp. if you know what i mean, do not play games with them.
